What is the University of Gold Coast Leadership Academy?
It is a university-led leadership education academy raising ethical, visionary, competent, and transformational leaders for Ghana, West Africa, and beyond, in collaboration with the CMI Leadership Academy, United Kingdom.
What is the difference between leadership training and leadership education?
Training teaches useful skills. Leadership education develops judgement, character, strategy, and the ability to lead people through change. The Academy focuses on formation, not only skills.
Who are the programmes for?
Executives, public servants, young professionals, women leaders, faith leaders, and institutional teams. Programmes run at every level of responsibility, from first-line supervision to senior executive leadership.
Are the programmes delivered online?
Many programmes, including the CMI management and leadership pathway, are delivered through live online masterclasses, skills labs, and coaching clinics. The Academy also offers weekend, evening, hybrid, and customised institutional formats.
What professional recognition is available?
The CMI pathway supports routes from Foundation Chartered Manager through Chartered Fellow, subject to successful completion and CMI eligibility and verification requirements. Recognition is never presented as a marketing shortcut.
Can organisations sponsor a group of participants?
Yes. Employer and institutional cohorts can be contextualised around sector, organisational priorities, and internal leadership-development goals while preserving required outcomes and evidence standards.
How do partnerships work?
